Robichaux Automation and Control, Inc. Acquired by USJ-IMECO

Robichaux Automation and Control, Inc. (“RAACI”) was acquired by USJ-IMECO (“USJ-IMECO”), a portfolio company of private equity firm J.F. Lehman & Company (“JFLCO”) on April 16, 2014.  Chaffe Securities, Inc. (“Chaffe”) acted as RAACI’s exclusive financial advisor in this transaction.

Dennis Robichaux, the President of RAACI, stated, “The work ethic, commitment and knowledge that the Chaffe team provided was second to none.”

Based in Metairie, LA, RAACI designs, assembles and integrates electrical, control and automation systems for commercial and government vessels. RAACI increases USJ-IMECO’s presence in the Gulf Coast Region and strengthens its exposure to the commercial vessel market, particularly the oil and gas industry.  Former owners Trudy and Dennis Robichaux will continue to play key roles leading the RAACI division of USJ-IMECO. Mr. Robichaux stated, “Trudy and I believe we’ve found a true business partner in USJ-IMECO with extremely deep contacts and resources in the markets we serve.”

USJ-IMECO is a leading independent provider of turnkey marine joiner, distributed and electro-mechanical systems and solutions. It serves government and commercial customers involved in new ship construction, vessel maintenance, repair and overhaul. Tom Eccles, CEO of USJ-IMECO, said, “The addition of RAACI adds a highly complementary set of engineered electrical, control and automation solutions and capabilities to the USJ-IMECO platform which will ultimately allow us to better serve our customers.”
