The First Bancshares, Inc. subsidiary, The First, A National Banking Association (“The First”) entered into a branch purchase and assumption agreement to acquire Whitney National Bank branches on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and in Bogalusa, Louisiana from Hancock Bank of Louisiana and Whitney National Bank. Chaffe, with Jonathan W. Briggs as lead investment banker, acted as financial advisor to The First.
